The Executive Board of the Cyprus Turkish Football Association has made an appointment to the position of International Relations Coordinator at its meeting on December 11, 2013.
The relevant decision is as follows: “It has been decided to appoint Ms. Deniz Birinci to the position of International Relations Coordinator of the KTFF.”
Who is Deniz Birinci?
She was born in Nicosia on December 1980. She went to elementary, secondary and high school in Nicosia graduating from Turk Maarif Koleji, the Turkish Cypriot equivalent of the English School, in June 1997. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Communication from Cornell University in New York where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with Distinction in Research in May 2001. She holds a postgraduate diploma in International Relations from the School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) of the Johns Hopkins University and an MBA degree with Merit in International Public Management from the University of Birmingham. She has previous work experience in communication and international affairs at MTV Network, ABC Network, DDB Advertising and the Washington Post in the U.S., Birmingham City Council in the U.K., NTV-MSNBC in Turkey as well as various public sector offices and the Office of the Turkish Cypriot Leader in Cyprus. She served as the Head of International Relations at the Nicosia Turkish Municipality, taking an active role in city diplomacy and getting the voice of the Turkish Cypriots heard in international arena for almost ten years. She also worked for the European Parliament during the Cyprus EU Presidency in 2012. She currently serves as an independent international communications consultant based in Nicosia. She knows English, Turkish, Greek, French, Italian and some Spanish.
